Dan has worked on research to enable the energy transformation within electricity networks since 2023, first with NICTA and then with the ANU. He has participated in a number of Distributed Energy Resources (DER)-related pilot projects including Converge, the CONSORT Bruny Island Battery Trial, Evolve and Edith.
Dan specialises in writing software for simulating electricity networks, with an emphasis on distribution networks and DER.
Originally trained as a theoretical physicist, Dan has also worked in airline crew scheduling and Computational Biophysics.
Dan is a native Canberran.
