Kim is studying a Master of Science Communication at ANU. Prior to this, he spent sixteen years’ working as a scientist and communicating science to government agencies and the broader public.
In 2021 he was a key member of the Indigenous Network which won an agency award for promoting diversity.
Kim led training for large groups in the use of energy and emissions data. This allowed State Governments to understand energy data collected by the Federal Government. In addition to practical experience he completed a Masters research thesis on fugitive emissions from oil and gas extraction.
