Peter is a Senior Research Engineer in the ANU Centre for Energy Systems. An accomplished Computer Engineer, Peter has more than three decades of experience specialising in system administration, security, availability, maintainability, virtualisation, hardware, and software design. 

Over the years, he has worked extensively on production Linux systems in both industry and academia. As an IT Manager at ANU's College of Engineering and Computer Science, Peter managed teams and implemented strategies to enhance system performance and efficiency. 

Outside of his management role, he led the development and rollout of the innovative 'Picomu' data acquisition system, now used in the DERLab, and is currently spearheading its successor. His expertise includes micro-controller programming, FPGA design, and analog/ digital PCB creation, showcasing his ability to push technological boundaries.
